Showering Amy & Baby Liam

This past Saturday we celebrated my cousin Amy and her soon-to-be-born baby boy, Liam!

Julie came up with using an alphabet theme for the shower because Amy & Joel's baby bedding has letters on it.

Sarah made her famous cupcakes!

Julie came up with having a fruit and yogurt bar on top of the usual shower fare. It was so yummy, especially with the waffle bowls to fill up!

Here are some of the letters the guests brought for baby Liam's nursery wall.
(I made the "L"!)

Aunt Sharon made her amazing sugar cookies as a favor and Mom made the beautiful centerpieces. It's so fun to throw parties with these ladies because everyone has different talents!

Amy & Julie-- Sisters!

Amy was given lots of great, useful gifts.

And a neutral diaper bag so maybe Joel will proudly carry it too. Smart girl! :)

After awhile the younger girls ventured upstairs to play with all our boys' toys. They came down all dressed up and made us laugh. :)

Some people got very creative with their letter contributions. Here's Alison with her "i" and "Q". I don't envy the hanging of all these letters but I can't wait to see them all on the wall!

More Aunties and the guest of honor :)

We're so excited to meet baby Liam in May and we hope he's as excited to be added to the number of boy cousins as they are! It was a beautiful shower and it went off without a hitch with so many talented and helping hands. We hope you and baby Liam feel loved, Amy!

Five on Friday

We've had an ok week in Lockridgeland. We're sure enjoying the warm weather and the sunshine that extends past dinnertime, but Caleb has had a nasty sickness this week which culminated in a late night trip the ER and lots of sleepless nights.

We got some yard work done, planted some flowers and then the Lockridge boy clean up crew come out to help.

We got to sneak out for dinner and dessert with Grammy while Daddy was on work travel. What a treat!

I made some new frames for our entryway. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!

My feverish boy and I got in some great snuggles at the ER. It only took 3.5 hours and a shot of antibiotics, a prescription to take home and lots and lots of tylenol. It wasn't RSV or anything more serious, but his fever got dangerously high and his little body just wasn't fighting it off. He has another ear infection and swollen, infected tonsils just like his Daddy did at this age. And now he's getting in all 4 canine teeth. He just can't catch a break this week. Poor little guy!

Levi is loving the warm weather and we've already spent hours outside riding bikes and playing at the park. Here he is giving his "thumbs up" and showing off his new kicks from Uncle Bryan and ON THE RUN.

Happy Friday!

Snow Weekend

Even though temps were in the 70's in Modesto this weekend, we headed up to the cabin for some snow and cousin-time. We arrived late Friday night, put the kiddos to bed, fell asleep watching the new James Bond movie 'Skyfall' (super good btw), and then woke up the next morning to head over to Bear Valley for a little skiing/snow playing. My pictures aren't fantastic but it's tough trying to get four boys under 3 and one big girl all in one frame. :)

Jack, Charlie, Levi playing outside.

Four boys packed in a car.

Jack and Levi suited up for some snow time.

Jack, Levi, Auntie Julie, Charlie heading in to the lodge.

Waiting for Daddy and Uncle Joe and Ashley to head in for lunch.

Playing with Daddy's gear. Looks like he's ready to ski next year!

The only picture I have of both my boys.
They wouldn't stop moving but they were too cute in their snow bibs to miss a photo opportunity.

Four boys and a big girl crammed into the car on the way home. (I seriously think this was a highlight for Levi!)

Back at the cabin and playing with the cousins.

What a great weekend! Our boys were in great spirits, slept great, ate well, played non-stop, and then came home and CRASHED. We love getting to spend time with family and we're so glad that we get to add one more boy to the mix this spring...we're waiting for baby Liam!
