We've been making jam as a family for years now. It's usually a long, fun day of family and hard work but this year was especially long. We made a lot of jam. Like 328 jars. We bought 8 flats of strawberries and ended with 328 jars and 3 entire flats still full of strawberries. We were all a little done with strawberries by the end of the day, but what an accomplishment. Now we get to enjoy the fruits of our labor. :)

| The before |
| Everyone has a job. It's divide and conquer! |
| Sarah's a master pourer. |
| I'm pretty good at cutting through the piles of strawberries. |
| Amy cut and mixed for hours and Aunt Sharon made the jam possible by mixing the pectin. |
| Caleb even came down to visit and entertain us, instead of napping. So helpful! |
| Alison blended and Claire mixed. |
| Jam sisters :) |
The worker bees: Grandma, Amy, Aunt Sharon, Mom, Sarah, Me, Claire, Alison We missed Julie and Jessica this go around, but I'm sure we'll be making jam again soon And in the meantime they'll still get to enjoy the finished product! |
It was a very fun and productive day and another fun, family tradition to carry on. Yay for traditions!
