4th of July

It's not a true Modesto summer without the annual Concert in the Park, 4th of July Parade, and pool party! We had a blast and Maggie was a trooper just going with the flow and getting passed around from one adoring fan to another. We celebrated our favorite holiday at Amy & Joel's house which was  a first for us and I'm thinking we have a new tradition!

July at a glance

Summer always goes by too fast. With Levi out of school for the summer, and all our teacher friends and family, we're always go, go, going all summer long. We saw a lot, did a lot, and Maggie experienced more in her few short months than most big kids have! Here's a quick peek of part of our busy July:

Swim lessons for our big boys and our neighbor friend, Molly. They sure love each other!

Lots of backyard batting practice with our multi-tasking Daddy.

One of Levi's top 5 moments of summer: Jumping off the big diving board at swim lessons.

Plenty of Concerts in the Park and cuddles with baby sister.

We hiked around Knights Ferry with 4 kids in tow.
Me (Maggie), Alison, Mom, Sarah

Rock climbing boys. (With Auntie Sarah's help!)

Playing in the river!

Tour of the Stanislaus County Fair with our cousins and our MOPS group.

Maggie is 2 Months

Our sweet Maggie girl is 2 months old!

12lbs 2oz , 23in

She sleeps through the night (mostly). She eats well and quickly. She loves her brothers and smiles and coos at them with her whole body wriggling  to turn to see them. She is ticklesh, she is happy, and she is so go-with-the-flow-- she is probably the easiest baby I've ever known. Seriously. She is just a joy to have in our family, it almost makes those rough nine months of pregnancy worth it! :)

Maggie's Newborn Photos & Family Pictures

My good friend Jodie Martin took some photos of Maggie and our family. Maggie didn't really cooperate (it was pretty chilly outside for a May evening), but Jodie was still able to get some fantastic shots of her, and the boys, and our whole family. We love her and highly recommend her--thanks Jodie!!! (And thanks to Amy for loaning out her awesome farm for our backdrops.)

Even a fun one of the boys and my parents, who came along as boy wranglers.

Lockridgeland goes South

We headed down to Irvine to visit with Papa and celebrate Father's Day weekend at the Dodgers game. We watched them play the Giants and Maggie got to check off her 1st Dodgers game off her bucket list. (She beats Levi as the youngest Lockridge kid to ever see an MLB game by one week!)

Rocking our Dodger blue!

These boys love Dodger Stadium almost as much as their Daddy and Papa.

We also snuck in some time at the beach, and this princess had the best spot in the sand.

And no trip to a hotel is complete without lots and lots of swimming. These fishies were all over that pool and Maggie proves that she is still not a fan of the water. But Happy Father's Day to the very best Daddy around!

Maggie is One Month

Margaret Denise is One Month Old
6/10/15
10.5 lbs (on our home scale)

Maggie is a sweet, sweet baby who sleeps well, eats well, and is just along for the ride. She is still sleeping most of the time but is slowly waking up more often and even giving us smiles. Her big brothers are convinced they taught her how to smile and they are very proud of themselves. They absolutely adore her and fight over her attention and face time when she's awake. They are big helpers as far as grabbing things for Mommy and throwing things away. They also like to yell, "She needs milk!" every time she cries. Very helpful. :) Maggie likes to be swaddled, she sometimes likes her pacifier, she seems to tolerate the noise levels at our house, and she just loves to be held and cuddled so we are soaking up every minute of this newborn phase. I've even heard her Daddy throw the word "perfect" around. Watch out world!

Along for the ride: trips to the Farmers Market and Library.

Sweet, sleeping smiles

The Annual Scottish Festival with our neighbors.
(Maggie's not in this one, but she was there too!)

She has lots of love from her brothers and cousins and she has plenty of "sheep dogs" to watch over her and protect her.

She loves to be swaddled, but apparently Mommy needs to work on her skills.
