Caleb David is 6 months old!

22.6 lbs
27.5 inches
off.the.charts.

This last month has been full of transitions. Caleb is sleeping through the night again from 7:30/8-6:30/7:30. I'll take it! He's transitioned to a 4 hour feeding cycle and three naps a day. (Two really good long ones and little mini nap in the evening.) It has made our days more predictable and made us more flexible in our schedule. Yay! Caleb is still rolling all over the place and using it as a means to get where he wants to go. He's sitting up without (much) assistance and is still giving these huge smiles to anyone who will pay attention. He's drooling a little bit more and chewing on everything. He loves watching Levi play and loves any attention Levi decides to give him. (Even the kind that's a little too rough.) Caleb has started "talking" more and more and has recently started stringing together lots of Da-da-da-da's. The pediatrician said he's officially saying "Da-da"but I'm still not so sure that he knows who he's talking about. :) He eats everything I've ever given him, without a fuss or a face, although I'm not too surprised about that. He's just a sweet, sweet boy and a joy to have in our family. We sure are blessed!

Happy Half Birthday Caleb!

Our little Moose is half way to his first birthday and he couldn't be happier! We go to the doctor tomorrow for our 6 month check up, weigh in and shots so we'll report back with his stats but, until then, a quick shout out to the happiest baby I know. Love you big guy!

And just in case you don't believe me about his huge-ness, here are pictures of Levi and Caleb wearing the same outfit in size 18 months. Levi was 10 months exactly and had just started walking, Caleb is 6 months exactly and has just started sitting on his own. Oh, and Levi was in the 95% too. So Caleb truly is our little Moose!

Spring Break: Foothills

Last Tuesday looked like rain so we headed up to the foothills for some adventure and sunshine. We beat the rain and had a blast at the Jamestown railroad exhibit, and then lunch and a stagecoach ride in Columbia. The railroad was closed the day we went but Levi still had a blast climbing all over the trains and walking along the tracks. He certainly didn't know he was missing out on anything! The stagecoach was also a big hit because Levi  loves horses. Caleb got to ride along this time too. (Last time he was still in my tummy!) Another great day of adventuring with the boys-- mountain folk style! :)

Spring Break: Oakland Zoo

Our favorite teachers were on Spring Break last week so we took the boys on some fun outings before the rain kept us indoors. On Monday we met up with the cousins at the Oakland Zoo and couldn't have asked for a better day. Perfect weather, fun animals and lots of places to play.
All loaded up in the double BOB and ready for the zoo!

First stop: the giraffes.

Caleb was his happy, easy-going self and enjoyed hanging out in the front pack with Mom.

Easter 2012

This Easter we hosted both sides of our family at our house. We had so much fun and so much food and so much love and enjoyed sharing such a special day with everyone.

Here's Levi practicing his egg hunting skills and trying on a few pieces of his Easter wardrobe the night before. :)

Lockridge family of four on Easter Sunday morning.

A little bunny friend came to visit (thanks to Aunties Sarah & Alison) and Levi LOVED her.

Levi also really enjoyed dumping all the eggs out of the baskets. Thank goodness for forgiving cousins!

Ten on Tuesday

Out late watching Daddy play softball and rocking his hand-me-down Fresno State sweatshirt. Go Bulldogs!
Levi's decided it's pretty fun to have a brother who laughs at you and thinks you're great. Here they are cuddling up after nap time.

I've been busy too...making baby food for my growing little boy!

And running! Believe it or not, I ran my first full mile last week. No more run-a-minute/walk-a-minute stuff for me. I'm on to bigger and better things! My two mile loop with one full mile run in the middle was a success and a big morale boost for me. Yay for exercise!

This sweet boy and his hand-me-downs. Good thing he's so cute and doesn't care that he's wearing some of Levi's Christmas jammies!

He might be getting some teeth. There's lots of chewing on things at the moment. This was my view at dinner last week.

And Levi is getting funny. Not just cute funny, or he thinks he's funny, but really funny. We're loving his goofy side and his goofy grin. Here he is making us laugh by walking around in my shoes.

And some more home improvements. Last weekend Dave told me he needed to  "fix a few boards" on the fence. Little did I know that would require a couple of hours and two whole panels opened and replaced. Good thing he's handy!

And no more garden! While the idea of 12 tomato plants and fruit trees and squash and raspberries is nice in theory, it wasn't practical for us. Our boys need room to run and play! So out came the plants and in goes the sprinklers. Now a new fence panel is open for the dump truck to bring in some dirt and then GRASS! Levi has no idea how much more fun his yard is about to get. We'll keep you updated with the finished product.

Precious moment for the day: while I was making lunch the boys were watching some 'Mo. (Elmo for those of you not in the loop with Levi's lingo.) Dave caught them holding hands and we shared a collective sigh of love for our sweet family.

Happy Tuesday!
