Caleb's 1st Birthday Party

Caleb's twelve month photos to show how much he's grown.

Driving his cousin Charlie in his car.

Cousin Ashley, Auntie Sarah and Auntie Amy rocking the birthday hats.

Our sweet one-year-old and Daddy.
Caleb fell on the concrete right as the party was starting and he has a good looking scratch on his forehead to prove it. Just in time for family pictures!

Opening presents with Mommy and Daddy.
(Photobombed by Uncle Bryan)

Auntie Sarah and Levi showing off his lovely new expression.  I promise he wasn't really grumpy about his brother's birthday but he gets a good reaction whenever he makes this face so it's making an appearance pretty often.

And a picture of Caleb demolishing his first cake. He loved it!

It was a great night filled with lots of people who love our little guy. We were so glad to celebrate with everyone, so grateful for all the help setting up and tearing down and, of course, all the great gifts for the birthday boy. Happy 1st Birthday Caleb!!!

Ten On Tuesday: October Edition

Grammy and Levi on the train at the Sacramento Zoo.
He's so excited!

Mesmerized by the animals.

Looking for lions.

When Grammy is around Mommy actually gets to be in some pictures!

We got to help Uncle Bryan celebrate his birthday too.
My boys are lucky that he even shared his birthday candles!

We took a trip out to Del Osso Farms for a Lockridge family fun day.

Caleb was impressed by the pumpkins but he mostly wanted to chew on the stems or put rocks in his mouth. Yum!

I took a ton of pictures but this is the only one of both boys faces at the same time. I tried!

There were plenty of polite little rows to walk through the pumpkins but Levi took the road less traveled.

A fun night with Grandma & Grandpa Lockridge produced one tired boy!

Caleb David is 12 months old!
31lbs. 14oz.

He reached the milestone this past Thursday and did it in true Caleb fashion: easily and happily. He woke up happy, enjoyed the singing and presents and pumpkin muffins that went along with his special day. He got a haircut and shared his new toys with his big brother and then went to bed early. It was a great day!

Caleb is walking like a champ now, crawling up and down stairs, eating everything with gusto, and babbling a ton but only has two officially words: Dada and Mama. He loves his big brother, and has started to play with toys in the way they're intended (like driving a car or putting the animals in the farmhouse). He is such a sweet spirited boy and he likes to give sloppy, open-mouthed kisses. He has 4 teeth fully in but is in the process of popping through about 6 more. He's growing bigger every day and he is currently wearing a size 2T and 5.5 shoe. We love our big Moose and feel so blessed to call him ours. Happy Birthday big guy!

We have a walker!

Caleb has been taking 3 steps here, 5 steps there but we've been waiting to officially call it walking until he used it more often. Well, it's official!

Of course, this happened when Dave and I were out of town. (Dave's company sent us to Houston for the weekend to check it out for a possible relocation. More on that when we have actual information, in the meantime you could pray for direction.) When we left it was 5 steps, 8 steps, 10 steps, but he was still mainly crawling. When I got back on Monday, he was walking from one room to the next. We're so proud of him!

Ten on Tuesday

Here's my little chef cooking up some hot dogs (or "gog gogs" as he calls them.)
My stud of a husband completed the Tough Mudder race in Tahoe two weekends ago. I have no pictures of him competing but Levi snatched up that coveted orange headband as soon as Daddy got home. As Dave says, "You can't buy that, you have to EARN that!"

We've been spending lots of time with our cousins.
Here's 3 of the 4 boys under  the age of 3!

Last week we went down to Fresno to visit one of our favorite families. Sometimes I think these blurry photos sum up the situation more than a posed shot does. Tons of fun!

We're taking lots of walks and runs over here. This morning Levi informed me that he was going to run. So he walked Hannity,  and ran and walked about a mile to the grocery store. All in his camo rain boots. :)

Here's one of my handsome little guy. I think he might be keeping that blonde hair and blue eyes. Fingers crossed!

Dave and I were able to sneak off to a date night last Saturday. It was Oktoberfest time at Vintage Gardens and we met up with the in-town cousins for some fun.

I participated in my first running 5k on Sunday morning. Maybe not the best idea after a late night but we completed it in an acceptable amount of time. :)

Another one of my little guy who is almost unstoppable these days. He can climb anything, go anywhere and maneuver around most obstacles. And he's very proud of himself!

More fun with the cousins: Yesterday we went to Super Franks in Pleasanton and it was super fun!
